Fox Brown Outfitters offers year-round alligator hunts on private land in the marshes of South Florida. Private land hunters can take alligator by bow, crossbow, rifle, pistol, or harpoon and bang stick. Don’t waste your time or money hunting in a small pond; with thousands of acres of wetlands at Fox Brown Outfitters, you will experience an authentic fair chase hunt. Alligators are located in canals, ponds, lakes, marshes, cypress bottoms, and swamps.
No Florida hunting or fishing license is required, however, an Alligator Trapping Agents license is required to hunt alligator in Florida. The cost of this license is around $52 and is NOT included in the price of your hunt. This license can be purchased at https://gooutdoorsflorida.com/. All participating individuals must have this license by law before your hunt can begin.
Day or night hunts are available.
Guide will verbally give an estimated size and price of the alligator before the alligator is harvested. For pricing guidelines please add the daily fee plus the trophy fee for the alligator you wish to harvest. If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Fox Brown Outfitters Offers guided seasonal alligator hunts on the public waters of South Florida from August 15th to November 1st of each year. Included in the price of this hunt is a night of fully guided alligator hunting by boat , including all equipment needed, for individuals who have drawn alligator tags through the Florida Wildlife Commission’s yearly alligator harvesting program. This program allows Floridians and non-residents who are at least 18 years old to take up to 2 alligators per permit. The harvest areas and hunt dates are specific for each permit, and the permits specify the boundaries or limitations of the harvest area, your guide will know these and keep you within the boundaries given to you.
This is a night only hunt and by law, no firearms are permitted on public waters. You may use compound bow, crossbow, or harpoon for your initial shot; a bang stick will be used to complete your harvest. Once harvested, your alligator must be appropriately tagged with the issued FWC tag.

Once you are successful, your alligator will be transferred to a local alligator processor to be processed however you wish at your expense.
To apply check hmyfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/managed/alligator/harvest for application dates to be posted. Applications are usually accepted sometime in May of every year. Apply online at gooutdoorsflorida.com once application dates are open.
Rates are $600 per night and include up to 3 people on the boat. 50% deposit required to hold a date for all public land alligator hunts.
